IPL T20 - A tournament to remember.
The IPL is over but the excitement and hoopla generated by the tournament lingers in people's minds. Messages and queries still keep pouring in regarding the IPL T20 tournament. Shane Warne lead a team that was considered the least likely team to win the tournament. But the master craftsman that he is Warne moulded together a rag-tag bunch of cricketers in top notch performers. Every player in his team contributed to the win and Shane is just one among the several heroes in his team. Yusuf Pathan, Graeme Smith, Akmal, Tanvir, Asnodkar the list goes on. In its inaugural year the best team won. No quibbling about that.
All in all it was a tournament to remember for all concerned. Even for the lowly placed high-priced team Hyderabad Deccan Chargers.

IPL T20 Finals : Grame Smith is out of the finals
Graeme Smith played a major role in guiding the Rajasthan Royals to several famous victories and helping them top the tables in the IPL 20 20 Tournament. Now, his hamstring injury forces him out the crucial match - the finals against Chennai Super Kings. Though Rajasthan has enough depth to replace the Protea Skipper it still will miss the stabilizing influence of this wonderful batsman who with Shane Warne have guided this most unfancied team in the competition - The Rajasthan Royals to the top of the tables while more fancied teams like Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers were banished to the bottom of the tables.
Chennai Super Kings Beat Kings XI Punjab
Everyone thought the semifinals are going to be close affairs with nail biting finishes as the teams involved had all come through the grind of playing 14 matches against tought opponents and claimed great victories. But unlimately both the matches were tame affairs.
In the second semi-final Chennai Super Kings Beat the Mohali team by 9 wickets.
The Mohali team could only manage a paltry 113 runs in alloted 20 overs. Ntini, Gony and Morkel claimed two wickets each.
Mohali team could not handle the pace attack of Ntini and Gony and the top order was back in the dugout with just 44 on the board.
In return Suresh Raina and Parthiv Patel guided Chennai to another victory against the Kings XI. Incidentally Chennai has a clean 3-0 record against Mohali in this tournament.
